The Emirates Pediatric and Premature Society concluded its first conference in Dubai in the presence of Sheikha Dr. Hind bint Abdul Aziz Al Qasimi, President of the Emirates International Business Club, and representatives of the Federal Ministry of Health in the United Arab Emirates and local health authorities in the country and a large number of doctors and consultants in pediatrics and wide participation of companies specialized in the medical field. Here, Sheikha Dr. Hind bint Abdul Aziz Al Qasimi praised all those in charge of the conference, represented by the Director of the Society, Dr. Intisar Al Hammadi, and all members of the Emirates Pediatric Society for what they provide in service to the health sector for children in the country.
Dr. Intisar Al Hammadi, Consultant Pediatric Nephrologist and President of the Emirates Pediatric and Premature Society, stated that the society existed previously, but there were no main members in it. In 2023, a new administration was elected, and I am part of it. The main goal was to unify all services provided to children throughout the country because there are many medical practices that differ from one place to another, which negatively affects children’s health. She said that among the recommendations of the conference The goals of awareness, prevention and information sharing are important in all fields, especially in the field of pediatrics, because it is the cornerstone on which the child is built. If the foundation is correct, the building is correct. Dr. Islam Al-Baroudi, a pediatric consultant and a member of the association, said: “This year, we celebrate the re-establishment of the Emirates Pediatric Society so that it will be the umbrella that includes all pediatricians in the United Arab Emirates.
This conference will be the starting point for upcoming conferences that include all pediatric associations in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and then for all countries in the region and the world, because the United Arab Emirates is a fertile and suitable environment for exchanging experiences and information and attracting everything new and distinctive.” He concluded by saying: “There is great and high-level interest from the Federal Ministry of Health and health authorities in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.”
