Dubai, UAE, 26 October 2023: Moro Hub, a subsidiary of Digital DEWA, the digital arm of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (PJSC), has been awarded the Uptime Institute Tier III Gold Certification for Operational Sustainability for its largest sustainable data centre at The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (MBR) Solar Park – the largest single-site solar park in the world based on the Independent Power Producer. The award was presented by Mustapha Louni, Senior Vice President, IMEA & SAPAC Regions, Uptime Institute to Marwan Bin Haidar, Vice Chairman, Digital & Group CEO of Digital DEWA on the sidelines of GITEX Global 2023, that takes place from 16th to 20th October at Dubai World Trade Centre.
The Tier Certification of Operational Sustainability is a holistic assessment of staffing and organization practices, maintenance and operations activities, and management and planning – aligned with business objectives of risk reduction, reduced downtime, and operational efficiency. Achieving the award ensures operations are in alignment with performance requirements and availability expectations to support the business goals.

The Gold Certification illustrates that Moro Hub’s data centre is operated and managed to the fullest potential.
