Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, 10 May 2023: The 12th edition of the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) featured a highly impactful session on tolerance, which witnessed the signing of MUs between six nations and the UAE to promote the values of tolerance and coexistence. The event commenced with a keynote speech by H.E. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence – UAE, who highlighted the UAE’s unique standing as the only country in the world that has created a society of tolerance and coexistence.
H.E. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan emphasized that the UAE is the best country to invest in, as it is one of the most religiously, politically, and socially diverse countries in the world, promoting peace, coexistence, and harmony among all its residents. He believed that tolerance involved genuinely caring for the welfare of all human beings and acting accordingly, and that the spirit of tolerance was essential. He also highlighted the various initiatives, activities, and programs undertaken by the UAE with international and national organizations to create tolerant societies that foster social and economic growth, security, safety, and happy and harmonious communities.
The UAE has always provided a tolerant and safe society with quality education, enabling families to live peacefully and work together without fear of violence, which promotes social and economic growth and encourages market confidence and competitiveness.
The signing ceremonies between six nations and the UAE to foster tolerance will help work together and enable investments, which are MOUs on the promotion of values of tolerance and coexistence between the UAE and the Republic of Kazakhstan, MOU on the transfer of experience in the field of tolerance between the UAE and the Republic of Armenia, MOU on the promotion of values of tolerance and coexistence between the UAE and the Island of Guinea, MOU on the promotion of values of tolerance and coexistence between the UAE and the Kingdom of Bahrain, MOU on the promotion of values of tolerance and coexistence between the UAE and the Kyrgyz Republic, and MOU on the promotion of values of tolerance and coexistence between the UAE and the Government of Sindh, Pakistan.
The signing took place between distinguished personalities such as H.E. Narek Mkrtchyan, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs – Armenia; H.E. Umbriel Temiraliev, Head of the National Investments Authority – Kyrgyz Republic; H.E. Louopou Lamah, Minister of Trade, Industry and SME, Guinea; H.E. Lorenzo Fanara, Ambassador of Italy in UAE; H.E. Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain, & Member of the Council of Muslim Bahrain Kingdom Elders; H.E. Darkhan Kydyrali, Minister of Information and Public Development – Republic of Kazakhstan; and Syed Qassim Naveed Qamar, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh, Investment Department & Public Private Partnership Project, Government of Sindh, Pakistan.
The session on tolerance and the signing of MoUs further underscored the UAE’s unwavering commitment to creating a tolerant and peaceful society and the nation’s eagerness to collaborate with other countries in promoting the values of coexistence and harmony.
