DUBAI, 23 January 2022 – Emirati singer Jassim Mohammed brought the region’s cultural heritage centre stage, as he took Expo 2020 Dubai visitors on an exploration of traditional Khaleeji music on Sunday.
Mohammed delivered a dynamic setlist of his best-loved hits at the Jubilee Stage, featuring songs that expressed his pride in his Emirati ancestry, as well as romantic ballads.
Throughout the performance, he delighted the audience with his signature operatic singing style, accompanied by an orchestra playing mesmerising melodies on traditional Middle Eastern instruments such as the oud. Mohammed delighted the audience with witty banter during the show and invited members to join in the performance by clapping their hands.
