DUBAI, 14 January 2022 – Following the unprecedented success of the Expo 2020 Dubai Run last November, the stage is set for a follow-up on 22 January, with twice the number of participants expected.
The first Expo 2020 Dubai Run, held on 19 November, attracted more than 5,000 participants. In view of heightened interest in the event – billed as Dubai Run 2 – participants are urged to register in advance.
Registration closes on 16 January at 1159 GST, or sooner if places sell out.
The Expo 2020 Dubai Run 2 will take runners through a scenic route around the site, traversing Country Pavilions, International Participants’ Pavilions, the stunning Thematic Pavilions in the Opportunity, Mobility and Sustainability Districts, and the iconic focal point of Expo, Al Wasl Plaza.
Supported by Expo 2020 Dubai and Dubai Sports Council, the Expo 2020 Dubai Run is open to residents and visitors of all ages and nationalities. Participants can choose from three distances – 3km, 5km or 10km.
All participants will receive three free tickets to Expo 2020 Dubai for the day of the run, discounts from several restaurants, a custom-made race T-shirt, a medal and a goody bag, with chip timing results and a downloadable certificate.
