Hong Kong continues to solidify its status as Asia’s premier trade fair capital, drawing business professionals from around the globe for pivotal trade activities. This year, The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is set to host the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition) and Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo this October. Under the theme “Light and Life,” the fairs will showcase a diverse range of lighting products and solutions, unveiling futuristic trends. The twin lighting fairs will feature some 3,000 exhibitors from across the globe, forming the World’s leading lighting marketplace.
Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition)
The 26th Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition) will be held from October 27 to 30 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The “Connected Lighting” zone, making its debut last year at the Autumn Lighting Fair will be upgrade to “Hall of Connected Lighting” and feature a new premium brand area dedicated to showcasing elite lighting designs, innovations, and solutions. Multi-national brands including DALI Alliance, Japan Display Inc., LEDiL, Signify, Topmet, Tridonic, TUYA, and Valta, etc.
To showcase lighting trends and aesthetics, this year, we have invited internationally acclaimed lighting master Tino Kwan and his team to collaborate with an award winning interior designer, CM Jao from OFT Interiors. By utilising smart lighting systems and selective fixtures, while demonstrating the interaction between light and life by combining light, shadow, and geometric structures, they have turned the Grand Foyer into a relaxing space and the Hall of Connected Lighting into a temple of lights. The lighting fixtures and systems used in the demonstration space will be jointly sponsored by world-renowned architectural and commercial lighting brands ERCO and dynamic lighting expert TRAXON | e:cue.
The “Hall of Aurora” zone is consistently one of the most popular destinations for buyers, showcasing an impressive selection of exceptional lighting products from the world.

- The “Commercial Lighting” zone will showcase a wide range of commercial lighting products designed to meet the diverse needs of buyers across various industries, addressing the distinct lighting needs of commercial spaces;
- The “LED Essentials” zone will feature a diverse collection of lighting accessories and components;
- The “LED Lighting” zone will display all kind of LED light sources, including the most recent and trendiest eco-friendly lighting designs available in the market;
- The “Residential Lighting” zone will showcase a stunning array of functional and decorative household lamps from around the globe, creating a captivating lighting spectacle.
Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo
The 9th Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo will be held from October 29 to November 1 at AsiaWorld-Expo this year. The Expo serves as a comprehensive one-stop sourcing platform, showcasing a diverse range of commercial and industrial lighting solutions in shaping a smart city. The ” Smart Pole and Solution ” zone will spotlight the latest advancements in smart pole technology and solutions, demonstrating how these innovations can optimize energy efficiency and enhance user experience in urban environments. The “Horticultural Lighting” zone will feature an array of new products, including cutting-edge plant lighting technology and a selection of lighting fixtures ideal for outdoor parks and domestic gardens. The “Technical & Professional Lighting” zone goes beyond offering various lighting fixtures tailored for professional settings such as warehouses and production facilities. The “Outdoor and Public Lighting” zone continues to highlight lamps designed for outdoor public spaces and advertising purposes.
Program activities to get Updated Trends
In conjunction with the “Connected Lighting” zone, the STAGE will also hold the debut Innovative Lighting Design Forum and Connected Lighting Forum, featuring top designers and industry experts to share the market trends and latest lighting solution applications across various regions and industries. A variety of activities such as seminars regarding sustainable development and testing and certification, exciting lighting product launches, and networking events will be organised during the fair period, allowing participants to grasp the latest technological information and innovative developments in the industry, and chat with buyers from all over the world to expand their business network.
At AsiaWorld-Expo, three seminars will be conducted to emphasise the lighting design trends for mega events and public spaces, in addition to smart light applications. The featured seminars include “Spotlighting on Architainment Lighting“, “Smart Light Transformation of ASEAN Cities“, and “Green Lighting for the Greens“. These sessions will offer valuable opportunities for attendees to learn about the market outlook and obtain unique insights from industry leaders. During the fair period, a series of events will be held, including networking reception, exhibitor forums, and buyer forums, fostering meaningful discussions on the latest developments in the lighting industry among guests and enhancing the potential for future collaboration.

The events will adopt the EXHIBITION+ hybrid model, enhanced by the “Click2Match” online smart business matching platform, available from October 20 to November 8. Furthermore, “Scan2Match” will be also available at the fairs, serving as a feature designed to bridge offline and online interactions. With the HKTDC Marketplace App, buyers can scan dedicated QR codes from exhibitors to bookmark their favorites, access product information, view electronic floor plans, and engage in conversations with exhibitors even after the fair, allowing them to seamlessly continue their sourcing journey.
