This season, La Casa del Tango revisits its dinning offer, with sizzling meats from their asado grill at great value for money, but not only. “We are now open almost around the clock, catering to the professionals of DIFC and shoppers of Gate Avenue from breakfast to business lunch, sweet afternoon breaks and dinner with a new, more contemporary, organic and seamless take on dance, music and song,” says Enrique Macana, World Tango Champion and owner of the multi-talent venue.
With Chef Danilo Lekic, the team has elaborated a hearty breakfast offering to kick start the day with great combos, from 10am to 12pm: croissant, coffee and juice at AED29, omelette, coffee and juice at AED49 and croissant, omelette, coffee and juice at AED69.
Patrons can then indulge in a generous 3-course Business Lunch with soup, starter and main course, and the option to choose from two different menus at AED99 and AED149, served from noon to 4pm. Delicious lunchtime finds include La Casa del Tango’s much loved Pumpkin Soup, right in time for Fall, but also light and fresh Kale or Quinoa Salads, signature Empanadas, Beef Carpaccio and tantalizing Tenderloins or Short Ribs for carnivores, Chargrilled Seabass, Pastas and Vegetarian Risottos, too.
For guests taking a break on a shopping spree, La Casa del Tango serves all their à la carte desserts at AED25 only, until 4pm daily. From their best-selling Dulce de Leche Tiramisu to their crunchy Churros, Chocolate Lava Cake, Cheesecake, Crepes and the Chef’s new special Brioche, patrons are sure to satisfy their cravings for an afternoon tea or coffee in the comfort of the restaurant’s lounge and terrace.
Come sundown, Happy Hour hits the bar with a selection of 14 classic cocktails, house grape, hops and bar bites at AED39 each… And this is merely a prelude to elegant evenings at La Casa del Tango. “This season, I want to refine the entertainment so our clients can fully enjoy our cuisine and socialise, which is the beauty of going out for dinner. Great food and drinks, beautiful company, and meaningful conversations to protect our guests’ comfort first. Then, technically precise short acts that punctuate the night, unleashing the passion of tango without overwhelming the overall dining experience, with our friendly dancers, singers and musicians,” explains Enrique Macana.
Every evening except Mondays, guests can now expect a fine-tuned immersion into the world of tango and the culture of Argentina at large. Enrique Macana recreates the warmth of “Barrio” feels, and orchestrates every night himself, hosting regulars and new-comers with true talent and genuine grace like the “Patron-Maestro” that he is.
Last, but not least, the spirit of Buenos Aires pervades during Brunch as well, with a bountiful menu featuring a trio of Empanadas, Seabass Ceviche, Fugazzeta onion and mozzarella tart, Provoleta oven-baked Provolone cheese, all sharing, and followed by a choice of prime meat cuts, Chorizo Sausage, with a side of French fries and green salad… and for the finish, Churros will seal the deal. At AED295 of the soft-beverage package, AED395 for the house beverage package and AED495 for the more premium drinks offer, Saturdays never looked so “bueno”.
