Dubai, UAE, 26 June 2023: H.E. Andrew Tshepo Lebona, Consulate General South Africa, Akililu Kebed Consulate General Ethiopia to the UAE and industry leaders gathered to inaugurate the first edition of the Annual Prestigious Award Program in a ceremonious gala dinner affair at the luxurious W The Palm hotel.
The first of its kind annual awards ceremony is dedicated to acknowledging and celebrating individuals and entities invested in the development and advancement of the African continent, communities and people. In celebrating black excellence, the organizers, Velour Veld, ensured to bring together African & UAE Officials, Business Leaders and industry thought leaderes to celebrate the outstanding achievements of the African diaspora.

The welcome and keynote speech were delivered by H.E. Andrew Tshepo Lebona, Consulate General South Africa and the Founders of Velour Veld, the Award Ceremony organizers; while the awards were handed to the winners by Akililu Kebed Consulate General Ethiopia alongside His Excellency Juma Madani, Chairman board of directors of AlMatiya Group and CEO of AlAwad Petroleum and H.E. Munira Albalooshi General Secretary of AlMatiya Group, General Secretary and Chairman of ladies sports in AlMatiya Club and General Secretary of AlAwad Petroleum
