Dubai, United Arab Emirates —
In April, the world celebrates Earth Month, which is a time to raise awareness about environmental issues and promote sustainable practices to protect our planet. Water is fundamental to the health of our planet and every other living thing on it. With the world’s growing water crisis, it is more important than ever to take action to conserve water and change our water usage habits, especially at home, where people typically consume the most water. LG Electronics (LG) recognizes the importance of water conservation and offers ThinQ-enabled smart home appliances that not only reduce water consumption but also enhance the overall experience of using water at home.
LG ThinQ ecosystem includes a line of AI-enabled products, services, and a custom-built app, which are designed to improve daily life while minimizing energy and water consumption. A great example of this technology is LG’s washing machines powered by Artificial Intelligence Direct Drive (AI DD™) technology that detects the weight and softness of the fabric and automatically selects the optimal washing patterns, ensuring clean clothes and providing greater fabric protection while conserving water and reducing the amount of energy needed for the cycle. With ThinQ technology, the washing machine allows users to monitor and operate laundry remotely, easily interacting with it via Wi-Fi. Additionally, LG’s ThinQ UP washing machines feature the microplastic care course that uses LG’s 6 Motion (Tumble, Swing, Rolling, Stepping, Scrubbing and Filtration) technology to decrease friction on fabrics, helping to prevent microplastics from forming and also minimizing energy usage.
Furthermore, LG’s ThinQ-enabled QuadWash dishwashers leave dishes sparkling clean while minimizing water consumption. They are equipped with TrueSteam technology that reaches the entire surface of every dish inside the tub, cleaning dishes from every angle with less water spots. It also features LG’s QuadWash technology that uses four Multi-Motion spray arms that rotate back and forth to separate stains and oil from dishes and reach every corner of the dishwasher. With the ThinQ app, users can control the dishwasher and personalize its cycles remotely, as well as download new wash cycles such as Pots & Pans, Casseroles, Glassware and Night Care.
