DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — Smart cities are powered by CHINT.At the 48th Middle East Energy Exhibition, visitors were captivated by the striking modern building models suspended in mid-air at booth S1 K10, which showcase blue and green colors to symbolize sustainable energy. When viewed from a 180-degree angle, the exhibition offers an immersive display about “smart cities” that is grounded on the floor, presenting a comprehensive range of exhibits and technical solutions that complement the smart buildings suspended above.
The 2023 MEE is garnering immense attention due to the unprecedented challenges faced by the world’s energy sector. This year’s exhibition is the largest in history, with over 800 exhibitors from more than 170 countries coming together in Dubai to discuss regional energy issues, energy transformation, and energy outlook planning through exhibitions, conferences, and thematic forums.
CHINT is a globally recognized provider of smart energy solutions, and this year at MEE, they have built a green-themed booth covering over 100 square meters with the theme “Digital Decarbonization for a green world.” The booth showcases innovative achievements in integrated solutions for power generation, storage, transmission, transformation, distribution, and use. Among the featured solutions are intelligent power distribution, 220 kV substations, data centers, and products such as the Energi X series, intelligent ring main unit NG7, and smart meters. CHINT will leverage its full industry chain advantages, combined with the strength of overseas manufacturing and supply chains, to provide better power products and technical services for our partners in the Middle East and Africa through localized operations,” said Wang Ling, head of CHINT Global’s MEE booth and assistant to the general manager of WAA.
Dubai has taken center stage on the world energy platform, and global energy audiences were witnessing the exciting developments. At the exhibition, CHINT signed MOUs with multiple partners to collaborate and support the advancement of smart cities. CHINT Global has entered into strategic agreements with energy providers, a leading oil and gas company in the UAE, and a natural gas company, to explore opportunities in renewable energy using cutting-edge technologies. CHINT will offer product and technical services in the metering field. Notably, CHINT has received the International Organization of Legal Metrology’s (OIML) Type Approval Certificate for Measuring Instruments based on OIML R 46-1/-2:2012, earning it one of the highest international recognition for testing certificates among enterprises.
The CHINT Global product team organized six technical seminars covering low-voltage and medium-voltage products and solutions, new energy, transmission and distribution products and solutions, intelligent operation and maintenance, and intelligent meters. The purpose of these seminars was to reach out to global audiences interested in energy-related issues and share authoritative viewpoints with the Middle East and Africa regions. In addition to these seminars, CHINT also displayed a bottle cap art installation at their booth, encouraging visitors to participate in creating a greener future by using recyclable bottle caps. In the future, CHINT plans to donate the proceeds from this installation to local public welfare organizations.
“Smart cities are closely related to our daily lives, increasing the economic potential of cities and improving the daily lives of residents. CHINT has always been concerned with a better way of life. In the future, we will continue to guarantee the sustainable development of modern cities through our full industry chain and intelligent manufacturing capabilities,” said Lily Zhang, President of CHINT Electric.
