Red Bull Four 2 Score has landed for the first time on UAE soil. The 4 vs 4 tournament has kicked off with 10 qualifiers, held across the country which see amateur football players showcasing their skills in Red Bull’s unique competition format. The all-new tournament comes with a special twist in upping the ante in the first and last minute of the ten-minute matches when goals count double.
Teams of 4 will battle each other throughout the qualifiers, in the hope of making it to the national final, which will be held in Sharjah on Sunday, March 19. The celebrated Aljada hub will play host, developed by real estate giant Arada, the area aims to create elevated spaces and experiences for people to enjoy.
Aside from the excitement of competition, the ultimate prize is a strong motivator for local teams with the winners of the UAE final heading to Germany where they will be hosted by RB Leipzig. They’ll face off against the winners of more than 25 other national competitions for the crown in the first ever Red Bull Four 2 Score World Final.
The rules and concept of the tournament are designed to allow participants to experience Red Bull’s unique “power football” philosophy firsthand. In the first and last 60 seconds of the 10-minute matches, teams of 4 and 1 substitute get to have their goals doubled. There are no breaks or goalies, just the need to score when it matters! Both male and female players between the ages of 16 and 35 can participate in the tournament.
