Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 15 January 2022: Diego Martinez was crowned the winner of the Red Bull Local Hero Tour, a unique padel tournament held in the UAE for the first time ever. The winner was selected for garnering the most points during the course of the tournament, that was held under the supervision of nine-time padel world champion, Juan Lebron.
The winner took home the grand prize of an all-inclusive trip to Madrid to train in Juan Lebron’s Academy Camp, beating Diego Martinezin the final after an impressive run in the qualifiers.
The four-stage qualifiers kicked off in Ajman, with matches held at Padel Square, followed by matches at the Let’s Padel Academy in Abu Dhabi. The last two stages of the qualifiers were held in Dubai on the courts of the Let’s Paddle Academy before the at Ballers – Dubai on Saturday.
The tournament also witnessed padel enthusiasts and promising players get acquainted with the world champion, Lebron, who also was on the court supervising matches as well as providing advice and guidance on the sport.
