Gulf women in finance and insurance convened for the She Talks August edition on Friday, 26th at Sofitel Dubai Downtown. The conference and exhibition was attended by former heads of state, her highnesses, advisors to the royal family, C level executives and business owners from all over the UAE.
Aparna Bajpai the founding CEO of BeingShe organization which was hosting the event explained that women should be more aware and educated about the different financial instruments available hence the importance of the conference.
Eminent names in the finance and insurance space like Zurich Insurance Company LTD, BlueChip investments LLC, Century Financial took part in the exhibition educating guests on the services they provide.
Attendees heard from four keynote speakers including Mr Taru Singhal who delivered a keynote on the importance of insurance in the education sector. Ms Divya Rajwani who delivered a keynote on wealth and asset management.
Ms Sandi Saksena, a multiple award winning personal finance influencer spoke on financial independence and Cristina Ceban, the founder of Women Do Crypto delivered a keynote on Crypto currencies and Blockchain. The famous tv presenter Sandy Fakhoury hosted the event.
During the conference, two panels sat to discuss startups and entrepreneurship and the pillars of a successful business. Panelists included Ayisha Abdurahman, Salma Al Qubaisi Gurneet Kaur, Zahra Al Darwish, Carole Khalife, Swarnaleka Shetty Vyas, Radhika Jain and Anna Suvorova
At the same event, ahead of the Emirati Women’s Day celebrations 2022 – A few selected Emirati women whose relentless efforts have been instrumental in shaping the economy of the UAE, were honored with awards presented by the Chief guest, Shaikha Al Mutawa, a director in the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).
The event ended with a talk from the former vice president of Zimbabwe CDE Joice Mujuru who drawed from her own experience the struggles women face in business.
BeingShe is a women’s organization based in the United Arab Emirates which under their She Talks division, hosts very focused initiatives related to health and wealth. She Talks will be back in October under the theme – Gulf Women in Wellness
