This July, 99 Sushi Bar launched a new tasting menu, rightfully called “Natsu”, which means Summer in Japanese.
The culinary team delivers a refreshing, authentic and daring journey to the Land of the Rising Sun, paying tribute to the award-winning venue’s star ingredient “toro”, the premium fatty bluefin tuna.
The bold and charismatic menu also features their Edamame with Kobe Wagyu Fat and the Capumiso, a flirt between a truffled cappuccino and a miso soup. From the Toro Okonomiyaki Japanese pizza to the crispy Toro Taco, Soft Shell Crab Roll, Hotate Maki and flavourful Gunkans and Nigiris, the Natsu menu unveils 13 delicate dishes including a delightfully airy White Chocolate and Coconut Mousse for dessert.
A feast for the most discerning palates, the Natsu tasting menu showcases award-winning 99’s finest ingredients: Toro, King crab, Dibba Bay oysters, sea scallops, wagyu, foie gras and Kaluga caviar.
In Dubai, it is priced AED 899 net per couple. With a bottle of house bubbles, it is priced AED 1599 and at AED 4499 for those who want to splurge with a bottle of Dom Perignon.
In Abu Dhabi, it is priced AED 899 net per couple. With a bottle of house bubbles, it is priced AED 1499 and at AED 3499 for those who want to splurge with a bottle of Dom Perignon. 
The Natsu menu is available every day, for lunch and dinner and includes coffee or tea.
At lunchtime, “Omakase” is a great excuse to take a break from work with a 9-course menu. Reasonably priced at AED 169 net per guest, it is inclusive of coffee or tea. Its delivery is precise, fragranced, bursting with flavour, just in time for the scorching summer.
Guests can enjoy 99’s Baby Squid Tempura and a variety of hand-crafted Nigiris from Quail Egg and Black Truffle to Salmon Flambe, Sea Bass Flambe and Australian Wagyu Flambe Marbling 9. A main course of Outside Skirt Steak and Galangal sauce seals the journey, just in time for patrons to return to their offices.
