Newly opened fine dine restaurant, The Crossing announced that it will offer a special four-course menu during the entire holy month of Ramadan. The Crossing celebrates all Indian food, including dishes influenced by immigrants and travellers that have long been a part of Indian culture. The philosophy behind the menu is to give diners an exploration of India via their plates with fewer traditional curries and more of the soul, comfort food that has nourished generations of Indians from all over the subcontinent.
Celebrating this Indian subcontinent’s diversity, the restaurant has curated two set menus priced at AED 175 per person and AED 130 per person for diners to choose from (apart from the Ala Carte menu). The Ramadan menu offers a delectable selection of appetisers, grills, main course and desserts. Both menus include nuts/dates and traditional Ramadan drinks.
Chef Ankur Chakraborty said, “Our Iftar menu is conceptualised around the central idea of sharing and bonding over a meal, while breaking the fast. The menu lets you indulge in the hospitable warmth of Indian Cooking, combined with ingredients that evoke nostalgia and the feeling of sitting around a table with friends and family. Sharing a nourishing meal is considered auspicious, and we maintain these values and rituals.”
In addition, the restaurant is accepting corporate bookings-providing customisable menus for companies to host its employees and guests during the holy month.
Located at The H Hotel, Dubai, The Crossing opened its doors in January 2022. The restaurant’s menu is curated from closely-guarded Indian family recipes featuring flavours, influences and recipes from across the country-creating a new narrative where traditional classics stand side by side with forgotten recipes.
