Expo 2020 Dubai’s visitors experienced Shiva Tandav beats interspersed with live classical vocals for a special yoga, dance and meditation session celebrating India’s timeless arts at the Sports Arena on Saturday morning.
With Jay Vasu on drums, Resham on vocals and Samaneh Mojaveri leading the yoga and meditation, the practice started with gentle sounds for an invocation mantra, encouraging the participants to express themselves before moving onto classical dance, pranayama (the regulation of breathing techniques) and yoga moves.
From 1700-2300 GST on Saturday, India’s rich culture will continue to be celebrated, with Priti Malik and other supporting guests bringing Bollywood and bhangra moves to Expo 2020’s Sports Arena.
