DUBAI, 29 January 2022 – Back by popular demand at Expo 2020 Dubai tonight (29 January), the Morello Twins brought people together for an unforgettable night of electrifying music at Jubilee Park.
Identical twins Ivo and Remco Lemmerlijn, who said they were “super-hyped to perform the new music we have been working on for the first time ever live on stage”, wore matching all-white outfits for their performance.
The brothers cited their Expo 2020 Dubai experience as one of their top three career highlights – the other two are reaching 15 million in combined streams and receiving support from the world’s biggest DJs, such as DJ Tiësto, Martin Garrix and Nicky Romero.
Setting out to hype up the crowd and get the adrenaline going, the Dutch duo delivered on their promise, egging on the crowd with chants of “Go, let’s go!” Their banging set included remixes of Piece Of Your Heart by Meduza, Love You Forever by Stadiumx and Nicky Romero, and Coldplay X BTS’s My Universe.
Describing where they get their inspiration, the Morello Twins said: “Sometimes it’s a certain feeling, theme, catchy melody or just a simple idea. Production-wise, we always like to try out new sounds and combine different genres together to come up with something new and original.”
Having performed from a young age for family and friends, at school and birthday parties, the twins then found a way into the local club scene in the Netherlands, quickly garnering the attention of international booking agents. Evolving to produce their own music, they started touring across the globe, performing with the likes of heavyweight DJs Avicii, Hardwell, Martin Garrix, and Nicky Romero.
