Internationally acclaimed Peruvian-Mexican singer, Tania Libertad, renowned for her deeply emotional style, charmed visitors at Expo 2020 Dubai’s Jubilee Stage on Tuesday with ballads and soft melodies.
Libertad opened her show with the song “Cucurrucucú Paloma”, which tells the story of a man so devastated by the death of his wife that he wept all day. The only thing that consoles him is a little dove, which he believes is the spirit of his lost love.
Designated as an Ambassador for Peace by UNESCO, Libertad has won the Latin Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award for excellence in music, with more than 44 albums and over 12 million sales to her name.
