DUBAI, 23 January 2022 – An eerie sound performance version of artist Patrick Muller’s multimedia installation Gestalten took place in front of the Luxembourg Pavilion, Expo 2020 Dubai, on Sunday evening.
Exploring the space between poetry, language and music, the concert – entitled Dérivée – was performed by contemporary Luxembourgish ensemble United Instruments of Lucilin, and featured one human voice, one digital sound processing system and two acoustic instruments. Like Gestalten, which is currently being exhibited at the Luxembourg Pavilion, Dérivée featured poems from the anthology by Guy Helminger.
