DUBAI, 22 January 2022 – The audience at Expo 2020’s Dubai Millennium Amphitheatre was treated to a powerful, expressive performance by Mercedes de Córdoba on Saturday (22 January), courtesy of the Spain Pavilion, with strumming and plucking of the Spanish guitar coupled with clapping and heel-tapping.
Spanish dancer, Mercedes de Córdoba was born into a flamenco family from Córdoba, Spain. Having been in the dance world since she was just four years old, flamenco runs through her veins. Her performance this evening, complemented by the passionate musicians, demonstrated the soul, range, vibrancy, vigour and sheer passion that is flamenco.
