DUBAI, 12 January 2022 – Expo 2020 Dubai visitors were taken on a journey Wednesday night, to the roots of the Argentinian tango as it developed in the suburbs of Buenos Aires at the turn of the last century.
The Argentine National Tango Orchestra (ANTO), explored the origins of the ‘dance of love’ at the Dubai Millennium Amphitheatre, in a show called ‘Argentina: Creating Tango’, accompanied by the UAE’s best-known talents, who stepped into the rhythm with clockwork precision.
The host of the event pointed out that Argentina, while being the home of football legends like Lionel Messi and the late Diego Maradona, is also the “land of tango.”
