DUBAI, 7 January 2022 – Saudi Arabia’s National Day at Expo 2020 Dubai continued in spectacular fashion on Friday (7 January) evening with a world-class showcase at Al Wasl Plaza, accompanied by a mammoth fireworks display and light show.
‘The Glory: Musical Show’ featured Saudi cultural performances, including traditional dancing and singing, that brought the Kingdom’s unique culture to life from 1900 GST – right at the beating heart of the Expo 2020 site.
The production was one of 18 events across 20 different locations, including Al Wasl Plaza, Al Forsan Park, Ghaf Avenue, the Business Connect Centre, Jubilee Park, Sun Stage, Sea Stage, Earth Stage and the main entrance of the Mobility District.
The Kingdom’s highly anticipated National Day celebrations on Friday morning kicked off with a flag-raising ceremony for Saudi Arabia and the UAE at the ‘Stage of Nations’ at Al Wasl Plaza, accompanied by the two countries’ national anthems.
