DUBAI, 7 January 2022 – Renowned Saudi singer Mohammed Abdu gave a powerful performance at Expo 2020 Dubai’s Jubilee Stage to celebrate Saudi Arabia’s National Day on Friday.
Also known as ‘The Artist of the Arabs’, Abdu enthralled visitors with his classical masterpieces. He sang his iconic songs to the thumping applause of the audience, and rounded up the Saudi musical extravaganza with his soulful Khaleeji tunes.
The Saudi Arabian singer, composer and oud maestro has travelled all over the world, and mesmerised audiences with his traditional music. He is famous across the region for hits ‘Masa’Al Khair’ and ‘Al Amakin’.
Abdu’s music is based on the traditional genre, and he is credited with preserving classical Arabic music styles and songs of yesteryear. His Chaaabyat albums, released in the 1990s through his label, Voice of Al-Jazeerah, have documented the traditional Arabic music.
