DUBAI, 5 January 2022 – The Saudi Arabia Pavilion will host an array of extraordinary cultural experiences, performances, and events across the Expo 2020 Dubai site to celebrate the kingdom’s national day on 7 January.
The celebrations will showcase the opportunities, innovation, culture, and creativity of Saudi Arabia, while exploring the country’s heritiage and highlighting its bright future.
Ahead of the highly-anticipated event, Commissioner General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Pavilion, Hussain Hanbazazah, said: “It is an honor to welcome His Highness Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan Al-Saud, the Kingdom’s Culture Minister, to Expo 2020 Dubai to oversee an exhilarating program of events that will take visitors on an unforgettable journey that celebrates the Kingdom’s ancient past, the present, and our bright future. Saudi day allows us to showcase and celebrate with the world the best of the Kingdom and its people – our vision, culture and heritage and history.”
Saudi National Day will be commemorated with 18 events across 20 different locations at Expo 2020, including the Al Wasl Plaza, Al Forsan Park, Al Ghaf Avenue, the Business Connect Center, Jubilee Park, Sun Stage, Sea Stage, Earth Stage and the main entrance of the Mobility District.
Expo 2020 visitors can watch the Saudi Cultural Show, which will project the kingdom’s exciting future through a powerful, visually-enchanting story on the 360-degree surface that is Al Wasl Plaza. The screening will be followed by a special live orchestral performance with 90 Saudi musicians, an opera singer, and the Royal Ardah sword dance that will pay tribute to the country’s traditional culture.
Potential investors can also attend the Saudi Business Briefing, where representatives from the Ministry of Investment will discuss investment opportunities and programs in the Kingdom.
Visitors can also expect to see a magnificent parade, led by 80 military band members that features trumpets and drums, a unique fashion show presenting traditional and contemporary trends in the kingdom, and a procession of horses. The famous Saudi Green Falcons will also put on a stunning aerial show above the Expo 2020 Dubai site.
To conclude the celebrations, a dazzling fireworks display is set to light up the sky.
